The company Dell'Era Ermanno & Figlio was founded in 1924, with the main purpose of producing mechanical parts for industrial machines (gears, pulleys, etc.).

In a short time, the firm introduced the production of metal buckles made from drawn products and, between 1930 and 1935, the production of small mechanical parts and metal cutting parts, in general.
In 1938 Dell'Era moved to Lecco, where it started manufacturing hex and square nuts.

During the World War II, the company had a large expansion, reaching a historic high of 60 employees.

In 1962 Dell'Era opened a new plant in Valmadrera, where it's currently headquartered.
In time new automated production lines were introduced, leading to a gradual reduction in work force and simultaneously increasing the large-scale manufacturing of forged fasteners.

In the early eighties, a corporate restructuring led to the elimination of the blanking department, focusing investments and resources on the production of forged screws.

Thanks to the achieved experience, concepts like certified quality began to play a central role. This emphasis on quality is interpreted as an opportunity for a continuous improvement, both in terms of internal processes and with regard to the final quality of the products, the corporate image and the service given to the market.
This is one of the reasons why, since 1996, the company has obtained the certification of Part Three of its Quality Management System according to the international standard UNI-EN ISO 9002, then in force.

The system, applied consistently and effectively kept alive, today boasts compliance with the UNI-EN ISO 9001 latest edition norm and is a valuable tool for business excellence and competitiveness.

The last few years have been characterized by continuity and - despite the difficulties affecting the mechanical field - the advent of the third generation has given birth to a new targeted investment plan.

Product quality and the continuous improvement of the production organization have led the company to establish itself in new markets.
